Bisso Towboat Hosts The Seamen's Church Institute

Bisso Towboat hosted The Seamen's Church Institute on the river aboard the Andrew S., which is an ASD Tractor Tug with 6008 Brake Horsepower, making it one of the most powerful in the Bisso Fleet.

SCI's Center for Mariner Advocacy Director, Phil Schifflin, and Comms Associate Bridgit Patterson joined Chaplain Geoff Davis to visit mariners, including Bisso fleet members in the Port of New Orleans.

The Seamen's Church Institute is dedicated to mariner well-being, pastoral care, maritime training, navigational and vessel safety, legal advocacy, and global policy for the vital yet often overlooked role of those who work within the maritime industry.
